I took a double take on my Chai at the Parisian Patisserie Boulangerie in Essendon; I’d never seen such a pure white Chai and I wondered if they had forgotten the key ingredient. I don’t quite understand how this Chai was created but it was delicious with that special kind of froth, perfect for melting some sugar crystals.
This patisserie is in an unexpected location near the round about of Keilor and Bulla Road. White and clean with traditional Parisian decore. A full window of croissants and beignets (fancy name for French donuts) with chocolate, jam or custard centers, macaroons and too many other treats to mention. Well, except the chocolate brownie, I have to mention it as the best I have come across in Melbourne.
